When You Need
a Loft Inspection
Get the complete picture before buying. Many structural and moisture issues are only visible from inside the loft space. Moisture testing reveals hidden damp problems that could cost thousands to rectify.
- Spray foam application quality
- Ventilation issues caused by foam
- Timber moisture levels beneath the foam (where accessible)
- Timber condition beneath the foam
- Moisture trapping and rot
- Mortgage implications
Moisture meter testing pinpoints the exact location and extent of water ingress, even when no visible signs are present internally.
Follow up on concerns identified during external surveys or following leaks and dampness problems. Moisture testing confirms if issues are resolved or ongoing.
Essential before planning a loft conversion to assess structural adequacy and identify any hidden moisture issues that must be resolved first.
Particularly valuable for period buildings where traditional construction methods may have deteriorated over time. Moisture testing identifies deterioration in early stages.
Confirm repairs have worked and moisture levels have returned to normal after remedial works.
Complement your RICS Home Survey with our specialist roofing loft inspection including comprehensive moisture testing.
